Ruby Valley Brew Overview
At Ruby Valley Brew, community is at the forefront of the craft brewery. If you ask owner Amanda LaYacona, the reason she opened a brewery was because the community wanted it. The brewery takes their role as a hub for the community to enjoy and keep a busy calendar hosting live music, weekly trivia, and classic car drive-ins. Sheridan, Montana is a community of roughly 700 and is located along the Vigilante Trail. The Vigilante Trail was dedicated in 1924 and provided a corridor between West Yellowstone and Butte. Along MT-287, you’ll find Virginia City, Montana’s living ghost town. The Sheridan area is best known for its outdoor recreation. Visitors enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking and ATVing in the Ruby Valley. Vinny Norton is the head brewer at Ruby Valley Brew. The small batch brewery allows the opportunity for experimenting while keeping flagship beers on tap. Outside of Sheridan, you can find canned Maverick Mary IPA and Cowpuncher Kölsch across western Montana.

When you picture a small charming Montana town with laid back hospitality and a friendly atmosphere, you are picturing Sheridan, Montana. The community is a short drive from Twin Bridges where you’ll find some of the best custom fly fishing rods at R.L. Winston Rods. It is also an easy drive to Virginia City, Montana where you will be immersed in some of Montana’s most colorful gold rush history. While visiting, try your hand panning for gold, hop on a tour (there’s countless to choose from), and wander along the boardwalk of our living ghost town. Don’t miss the living history at the Nevada City Museum & Music Hall while in the area. Virginia and Nevada City really come to life between Memorial Day and Labor Day! Or stick a little closer to Sheridan with a drive out to the Ruby Valley Reservoir. While in town, don’t miss a chance to enjoy a local beer at Ruby Valley Brew and grab a bite to eat at Bread Zepp, next door. While there aren’t large motels in town, the charming accommodations (a number of bed and breakfasts among them) offer a unique experience for visitors.
