Gulch Distillers Overview
Gulch Distillers, a small-batch distillery operating in Helena, Montana. The distillery is located at the north end of the historic Last Chance Gulch and just east of Helena’s Great Northern Town Center. They are located in the former home of the Montana Distillery and Bottling Warehouse, offering visitors a unique glimpse to Helena’s past.
As a craft distillery, Gulch Distillers ferments, distills, and bottles their craft spirits. They are known for their unique liqueurs, vodka, whiskey, gin, ouzo and spiced rum. Their Burrone Fernet that has brought true acclaim to the establishment. In 2019 Burrone Fernet was named Best in show at the American Craft Spirits Competition, and most recently was awarded a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2023). This unique honor is a testament to Gulch’s commitment to the craft and innovation.
This distillery operates true to the Montana spirit, offering incredible service, deliciously crafted cocktails, and a laid back atmosphere to enjoy time with friends. Owners Tyrrell Hibbard and Steffen Rasile, both Helena natives, purchased the distillery in 2015 and rebranded to “Gulch Distillers,” ensuring to carry on the long standing tradition of high-quality spirits on Helena’s historic Gulch.
